About Us
Here at Britten Farms we believe that every horse should be loved and valued. We take in horses that are adoptable, as well as horses that are too old, or physically compromised and cannot be ridden. Many of these horses become permanent residents. We do not discriminate based on age, breed, health or gender. We are a "no-kill" shelter and we follow the Equine Rescue and Sanctuary guidelines of the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. We also have horses that are permanent residents of Britten Farms that you can sponsor.

You may not think that one person can make a difference but nothing could be farther from the truth. It starts with a dream and then the desire to chase your dreams.
From the moment I heard of the horrors stories of the industry, I wanted to do anything possible to help them. The journey I have been on trying to find way I could start up a rescue horses program it was a long road. Britten Farm's is trying to grown into a sanctuary that takes horses from the worst life can offer to a life filled with compassion, security and love. The love they give back cannot be adequately expressed in words.
